Chatham Anglers
The 2010 Cape Cod Baseball League All-League Team has been announced, and two Chatham players have made their way onto the list. Making the list as one of six starting pitchers chosen for the roster is two-time Angler and Chatham ace Logan Verrett (Baylor) after posting a 2-1 record with a 0.87 ERA over six starts. The Texas native allowed just four runs on 22 hits and five walks with 34 strikeouts through 41.1 innings of work. Verrett posted several stellar performances this past season, including seven innings of no-hit work on July 2nd against Hyannis, and a July 22nd start in which the right hander carried a shutout into the ninth inning against Brewster.

Also chosen for the team from Chatham was first basemen Aaron Westlake (Vanderbilt) after posting a .292 batting average with five home runs and 10 RBI. He collected multiple hits in seven of 32 games played, including three straight two-hit nights from July 8-11. The redshirt sophomore Commodore and 2010 22nd round draftee also posted an impressive .481 slugging percentage, and was named the Coca Cola Player of the Week when he hit .563 with .625 on-base percentage and two home runs over the fourth week of the season.

Both representatives were also chosen for the 2010 All Star Game, with Westlake being named the starting first baseman for the Eastern Division.
