Anglers Looking for Additional Player Housing This Summer

Chatham Anglers
On behalf of our entire organization I want to reach out to the many Chatham Anglers fans who read this publication and ask if you would consider housing one, or more, of our Chatham Angler baseball players this summer. We are in need of securing housing for several members of our 2013 incoming Angler team. The Cape Cod Baseball League is the premier NCAA summer collegiate baseball league and in 2013 the Chatham Anglers will host some of the best college players from universities across the country. Many of these players will go on to professional baseball careers. For example, Mike Lowell and Thurman Munson both honed their skills in Chatham before going on to lengthy major league careers.

Hosting players often leads to the establishment of life-long friendships. Host families with young children also get the benefit of having an older brother in the house for a couple months. The players begin arriving in early June and the season concludes mid August. The basic requirements to be a host family are to provide the player(s) with their own bedroom (including linens) and access to a bathroom/shower. Its also nice if you have cereal, lunch meat, snacks, etc. on hand for them when they choose to eat (theyre fed by our Organization after each game) and include them in family activities when they are available to attend them. For this commitment the Anglers will reimburse you $75/week. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity please contact Bob Sherman at (781) 264-3666 or via email at bobsherman21@comcast.net. Thank you very much for your consideration of this request.

Sincerely,
Doug Grattan
