The 2014 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, which begins Friday, includes 30 past and present Chatham Anglers. Among the field of 64 college teams, 18 have an Angler on its roster and 11 of the 16 regional sites include at least one Chatham player. Four of the 16 host schools count an Angler on its roster: LSU, Louisville, Miami and Oklahoma State. The only team among the eight national seeds with an Angler on its roster is LSU with 2014 Angler Jake Fraley of Middletown, Del.
Of the 30 total, 14 players are listed on Chatham's 2014 roster, 15 played for the A's in 2013 and five in 2012. Five players are multi-year Anglers: A.J. Murray (Georgia Tech), Hunter Redman (Texas Tech), Landon Lassiter (North Carolina), Kyle Funkhouser (Louisville), Jimmy Litchfield (UC Irvine).
