We are thrilled to welcome you back to another season in Chatham. The 2014 season opens tonight with the Anglers taking on the Firebirds and we would like to welcome you to the summer.
Our media team consists of students from the east and the west, from Syracuse, Fairfield and Arizona State. Dom Cotroneo and Jonny Wincott will share duties in the broadcast booth for play-by-play, Jesse Dougherty will serve as the reporter and Karly Laliberte will be the team’s photographer. We all look forward to delivering the 92nd season of Chatham A’s baseball, and here is a brief introduction of us in the booth:
Dom Cotroneo just completed his freshman year at Arizona State University where he called Sun Devils baseball and softball. He’s been calling games for as long as he could walk and will be handling The Catch of the Day.
Jonny Wincott recently concluded his sophomore year at Syracuse University where he covered Orange football, basketball and lacrosse. In addition, he worked with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League and will chat daily with John Schiffner on this summer’s Manager’s Show.
We are excited to bring you every pitch of the 2014 season. As always, you can hear all 44 regular season games through TRZ Teamline. Listen by telephone by calling 1-800-846-4700, code 3841, or listen online at Broadcast Central on chathamanglers.com. All broadcasts are provided for free, including a video stream for all home games. All broadcasts (home and away) begin 20 minutes prior to the game's first pitch with the Anglers Extra Pregame Show featuring The Manager's Show with John Schiffner and The Catch of the Day player interviews. Following the game is the Chatham Bars Inn Anglers Extra Postgame Show with audio highlights, live interviews and postgame analysis.
We will also be providing extensive coverage of the 2014 Anglers through our website and social media, specifically including Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube. Remember to like the team on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to track all of the latest from the Anglers. As always, we will be posting photos from every game on Flickr and all video content on YouTube.
We will continue to upload all broadcast audio through SoundCloud. Every interview from the pre and postgame shows will be available, as well as games in their entirety. Our newest announcement with SoundCloud is the newly archived broadcasts from the 2005 season which included a roster that featured CCBL MVP Evan Longoria and many other current major leaguers.
Also, please don’t be shy. We love to connect with listeners and fans of the team on our various social media sites. If tweeting or posting is not your forte, send us an email at chathambroadcast@gmail.com with any questions or comments you may have. We thank you for welcoming us in to Chatham with open arms and look forward to sharing our love of the game with you.
Sincerely,
Dom Cotroneo and Jonny Wincott
