Chatham Anglers

The Chatham Athletic Association is pleased to announce that Dominic Cotroneo and Jonny Wincott will be returning to the Veterans Field broadcast booth for the 2015 season. Cotroneo, a rising junior at Arizona State University, partners with Wincott, a rising senior from Syracuse University, for their second summer of calling Anglers games together. The duo will broadcast all regular-season and post-season games on the Cape Cod Baseball Network.

"We are excited to welcome Dominic and Jonny back to Chatham to paint the word picture of another Cape League season," said Dan D'Uva, the CAA's media consultant. "Listeners enjoyed their broadcasts last summer because of their passion, professionalism, and ambition to excel. This season, with another year of experience and coursework at two of America's finest journalism schools, Dominic and Jonny will further enhance our tradition of broadcast excellence."

2015 marks the 13th year of live play-by-play broadcasting in Chatham. Service through TRZ Teamline will again make it possible to watch video live streams of home games and to listen to online audio or toll-free telephone broadcasts of every game, all free of charge. Broadcast archives, highlights, interviews, and entire game broadcasts will all be available on the Anglers’ SoundCloud. More information on the Cape Cod Baseball Network is available at Broadcast Central.

Dominic Cotroneo | Arizona State

Dominic Cotroneo is a rising junior majoring in journalism at The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. After moving from Texas to Arizona, Dominic began broadcasting during his junior year of high school when he created an online radio station to call the road games for his high school’s varsity baseball team, the Basha Bears. His broadcasting work continued at Arizona State where he has called several sports and served as assistant sports director for KASC The Blaze 1330 AM, the school’s student-run radio station. In addition to calling a few high-profile football games including the Territorial Cup (Arizona State University vs. University of Arizona) and the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas, he has called games in ice hockey, men's and women's basketball, softball, and baseball. His baseball and softball broadcasts have also been aired on Pac-12 Network’s online live streams for non-televised games. Moreover, he is a multimedia reporter for the ASU Rivals website, maintaining a beat on the ASU baseball team. His father, Vince Cotroneo, is currently in his 10th season of broadcasting games for the Oakland A’s.

Jonny Wincott | Syracuse

Jonny Wincott is a rising senior at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, majoring in broadcast and digital journalism and minoring in sports management. Born and raised in Plainview, New York, Jonny began broadcasting at his high school’s radio station, WPOB. He hosted a weekly radio show and earned the position of sports director, while also competing in high school baseball and soccer. Wincott continues his broadcasting work in college where he works for student-run radio stations, WAER and WJPZ, covering sports including football, men's lacrosse, and men’s and women’s basketball. Jonny has also interned with the Syracuse Chiefs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, as well as the Syracuse Crunch, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
