Chatham Anglers

After announcing this year’s broadcast pairing yesterday, the Chatham Athletic Associated is pleased to announce the final three members of the 2015 media team. Karly Laliberte of Fairfield University will rejoin the Anglers for her second season as team photographer. She will work with newcomers Victoria Evans from the State University of New York at Cortland and Matt Jasko of Georgetown University. Evans will be the Anglers’ first public relations intern, and Jasko will keep a pulse on the team as its beat reporter. The threesome will work together to provide live content on everything Anglers baseball this summer.

“We’re fortunate to have such talented students telling the story of the 2015 Angers," said Dan D'Uva, the CAA’s media consultant. "Karly dazzled our fans with her artful photography during the 2014 summer, and she will continue to draw fans into the action throughout this year.  Matt will reveal the character of the 2015 Anglers with insightful and creative writing, and Victoria will ensure fans are connected to all Anglers news across traditional and new media platforms.”

It will be possible to keep up with work from Evans, Jasko, and Laliberte on ChathamAnglers.com, as well as the Anglers’ pages on Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr.

Victoria Evans | State University of New York at Cortland

Victoria Evans is currently a rising senior at the State University of New York at Cortland. She is majoring in communication studies with a concentration in public relations and advertising, as well as minoring in management. In addition to her academic pursuits, Victoria is a member of the marketing team for the school magazine, SPEAK, and a sister holding the position of standards chair on the executive board of the Sigma Delta Tau sorority. Victoria has watched Chatham Anglers games on family vacations every summer.

Matt Jasko | Georgetown University

Matt is a rising sophomore at Georgetown University where he is seeking a double major in English and economics, with a minor in sociology. On campus he is a varsity athlete on the Georgetown lightweight crew team and a staff writer and assistant editor for the Georgetown Voice, one of the school’s major student-run publications. In addition to covering Georgetown baseball for the Voice, he is also published weekly on the Voice’s online component, Halftime, with articles mainly concerning Major League Baseball and men’s NCAA Division I basketball. Next year as the assistant sports editor of Halftime he will spearhead the launch of a new interview series targeting Georgetown student-athletes who play non-major sports.

Karly Laliberte | Fairfield University

Karly Laliberte is a rising senior at Fairfield University where she is majoring in studio art and minoring in marketing. Her collegiate accomplishments have included playing Division I women’s tennis for Fairfield, being named a “Magis Scholar,” and earning the position of art designer on the board of the marketing club. This past year Karly’s studies took her on a five-month intellectual and physical adventure across Europe. During this time Karly lived and studied in Florence, Italy, while taking a class schedule that gave her the opportunity to travel to and photograph 25 cities in 10 different countries. Karly’s photography has been published in both The Boston Globe and Boston Herald, and this fall she will have her first solo exhibition in the Lukacs Gallery at Fairfield University.
