The Los Angeles Dodgers used the 35^th overall pick to select Louisville’s Kyle Funkhouser (2013, Team USA 2014) in the 2015 MLB Draft on Monday night. He was the second Angler selected.

Funkhouser recorded 4 saves for Chatham during the summer of 2013 before going on to re-sign with the team and play for College Team USA in 2014. Funkhouser was 8-5 with an ERA of 3.20 in collegiate play for the Louisville Cardinals this season.

In 2013 Funkhouser was named a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American. In 2014 he was selected as a: First-Team ABCA All-American, Second-Team Louisville Slugger All-American, Second-Team NCBWA All-American, Third-Team Baseball America All-American, and Third-Team Perfect Game All-American. In 2015 he has already been named a Third-Team Louisville Slugger All-American and is awaiting the rest of the All-American polls.
