After a quick ascension through the Tigers' minor league system, Detroit general manager Al Avila announced Sunday that Torkelson made the team's Opening Day roster. The Arizona State product played 31 games with the Single-A West Michigan Whitecaps, 50 games with the Double-A Erie Seawolves and 40 with the Triple-A Toledo Mud Hens in 2021.

Torkelson was the first overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft after two seasons in Chatham. At first base and outfield, 'Tork' batted .343 in 31 total games, including 10 home runs, 32 RBIs and 25 walks in 2018 as the Anglers advanced to the Cape Cod League Championship before losing to Wareham. He returned for a five-game stint in 2019.

Kade Bragg (2021)

Caden Grice (2021)

Grice has made a name for himself in college baseball. The second-year first baseman has a .229 batting average in 27 games with Clemson. After spending his sophomore season at Vanderbilt, Romero Jr. transferred to Miami over the offseason. In 28 games so far with the Hurricanes, Romero Jr. has recorded 22 hits, seven more than he throughout the entire 2020-21 season with the Commodores.
