Fog rolls in. Lights come on. College baseball's best descend on a 65-mile peninsula as we embark on another Cape Cod League season. Anglers baseball returns Sunday when Chatham hosts Cotuit at Veterans Field.
We are your broadcasters, Joe Puccio and Ian Unsworth. Since our introduction in March, we've been immersed in the history of Chatham and the great tradition of the A's. Just like you, we can't wait for Opening Day 2022.
We'll speak to you for the first time at 6:40 on Sunday night for the Anglers Extra pregame show. The pregame show begins our broadcast 20 minutes before first pitch every contest. It's accessible online and on the telephone for free through TRZ Teamline. Click here to stream the broadcast on your computer or smart device. Our radio experience can be found by calling 1-800-846-4700. When prompted, enter code 3841.
On the Anglers Extra pregame show, we'll have an interview with Tom Holliday on The Manager's Show, and chat with an Anglers player on Catch of the Day. Once the A's get underway, we'll have play-by-play for every inning of the season (we'll even chat through rain delays). After the final out, stick around for the Anglers Extra postgame show with a post-game interview and highlights. Games at Veterans Field will start at 7 p.m. throughout the summer, except for a doubleheader on June 19 against Wareham, which begins at 4:30. Road contests will start between 5-7 p.m.
In conjunction with our live broadcast, follow the Anglers on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Our writers Anish Vasudevan and Chris Blake will update you on social media and post full articles on ChathamAnglers.com, including game stories, previews and feature pieces. Media assistant Jake Klein will create the program insert and post audio from the broadcast on our SoundCloud page.
Our videographers Griffin Hout and Maggie Menoni will provide doses of the Chatham experience with an innovative approach. With multiple viewpoints from Veterans Field, game broadcasts will give you the best look at the action. Highlights and video features on every aspect of the Anglers are available on our YouTube channel. Brand new to the A's this summer is our TikTok page. Whether you're on the west coast or at the ballpark, the Anglers' TikTok will bring you closer to the Cape than ever before.
The photographs you see on our website and on social media come from our photographer Maddy Canning. Her work can be seen on Flickr. Flickr is a photography website that organizes albums for each Chatham game and event. Sift through Flickr and download your favorite photos for your non-commercial use.
When you take in a night at Veterans Field, grab a score card, snag a souvenir program and stop by the press box to say hello. We are excited to meet the devoted fans of the Anglers. Feel free to send us a message by email at ChathamBroadcast@gmail.com.
Our media team is ready to deliver creative, unique and informative content that delivers the best of the A's. We look forward to sharing the best summer baseball experience in America with you.
Sincerely,
Joe Puccio and Ian Unsworth, 2022 Chatham Anglers Broadcasters
