Chatham's doubleheader on Sunday against Wareham has been postponed until Monday due to rain. The first of two seven-inning contests will start at 4 p.m. The Anglers will now play nine games in seven days, including two doubleheaders, as last Friday's matchup against Cotuit was postponed to this Thursday.
Wareham was scheduled to throw Michael Sansone for the first matchup on Sunday while Chatham had Carson Whisenhunt set to take the mound first. Jacob Watters was likely to start the second game for the Anglers after relieving Whisenhunt in the season opener.
Chatham stays at Veterans Field to face Falmouth on June 21 after facing Wareham. The Anglers lost 5-4 to the Commodores last week, unable to come back following two runs in the seventh inning.
Following its first contest against Bourne in 2022 on Wednesday, the Anglers head to Lowell Park to face Cotuit for the second time this season. Chatham matched the Kettleers four hits in the game, but it lost 5-0 as runners only advanced to third base twice.
