With the MLB Draft approaching and the College World Series having concluded, Chatham's roster has undergone a series of recent changes. While the roster remains fluid, the following is a recap of recent changes ' and others that are likely to come ' regarding the Anglers' roster.

Activated

Cam Brown (RHP)

Brown made nine starts and 13 appearances with TCU this past spring, pitching to a 4.42 ERA. In his Anglers debut Friday, he allowed one run over 2.2 innings. He struck out four of the 12 batters he faced.

Mitchell Daly (INF)

Daly joins Chatham's infield as Tommy Caufield and Adonys Herrera depart. Daly played second base with Texas and hit .237 on the season. With second baseman Roc Riggio batting from the left side, the right-handed-hitting Daly gives manager Tom Holliday flexibility to play the matchups.

Roman Kimball (RHP)

The Anglers activated Kimball on Sunday after releasing Cy Nielson. Kimball struck out 32 batters over 25 innings in his freshman year at Notre Dame. Kimball made 17 appearances ' all out of the bullpen ' and recorded a 5.76 ERA.

Lyle Miller-Green (OF)

Miller-Green returns to Chatham after leading the Anglers in home runs and the Cape League in RBIs last season. His power will be welcomed to a lineup that has posted the league's lowest slugging percentage through play Saturday. Chatham activated Miller-Green on Saturday. He went 0 for 4 in his season debut.

Anthony Nunez (INF)

The Anglers activated Nunez on Friday, and the switch-hitting infielder made his first start the same day. The Padres selected Nunez in the 29th round of the 2019 MLB Draft. After two seasons in San Diego's system, Nunez played for the University of Tampa, where he hit .234 and recorded a .439 on-base percentage.

Ben Peterson (RHP)

Peterson is the fourth Florida SouthWestern pitcher to throw for the Anglers this season, joining Magnus Ellerts, Brian Holiday and Nicholas Regalado. The right-hander appeared in 10 games and made five starts with the Buccaneers, logging a 3.04 ERA.

Peterson made his Anglers debut Thursday and allowed five runs ' three earned ' in three innings of relief against Yarmouth-Dennis.

Incoming

Lebarron Johnson Jr. (RHP)

As a redshirt freshman, Johnson Jr. recorded a 3.18 ERA in 17 innings with Texas. He struck out 21 batters and walked 11. The right-hander is expected to join Chatham's pitching staff as multiple players leave for the draft.

Trevor Martin (RHP)

The Anglers have welcomed a number of Oklahoma State players, but Martin will be the first pitcher. To go with a 4.75 ERA, Martin struck out 79 batters in 47.1 innings with the Cowboys.

Released

Tommy Caufield (INF)

The Anglers released Caufield on Thursday. Caufield played in nine games, logging four hits and two RBIs in 24 at-bats.

Magnus Ellerts (RHP)

Ellerts started 14 games for Florida SouthWestern from late January to early May before making four appearances in the Cape League, where he struck out 21 batters and recorded a 2.84 ERA over 12.2 innings.

'I'm at a point in the year where I've thrown 80-plus innings,' Ellerts said after his start Friday. 'I'm just gonna go home, shut down my arm and get in the gym.'

Adonys Herrera (INF)

The Anglers released Herrera on Friday. Herrera made starts at third base, shortstop and second base. He hit .192 with one run and one RBI over 26 at-bats.

Nate Nankil (OF)

Chatham released Nankil on Thursday. In addition to playing plus defense in the outfield, Nankil hit .269 ' which would currently be third-best on the team ' over 26 at-bats.

Cy Nielson (LHP)

Nielson was one of Chatham's most reliable arms this summer but left to prepare for the MLB Draft. A second-year Angler, Nielson allowed three earned runs over 13.2 innings this summer, racking up 17 strikeouts in the process.

Chris Villaman (LHP)

After primarily serving as a closer with NC State, Villaman made four appearances and three starts with the Anglers before departing to prepare for the MLB Draft. Villaman recorded a 2.93 ERA in 15.1 innings with Chatham.

"I think just seeing him start and prepare is what (scouts) wanted," Holliday said.

Leaving

Carson Whisenhunt (LHP)

Whisenhunt's start against Orleans on Sunday is expected to be his last with the Anglers, as he will leave to prepare for the MLB Draft. Whisenhunt pitched 11 innings through his first three starts, striking out 19 batters but logging a 10.63 ERA.
