The Anglers have yet to win in July, facing Orleans for the second time in as many days. The Firebirds have beaten them twice this year.

Probable Pitchers

Joe Miller (Pennsylvania) will take the mound for the Anglers. He's 0-2 this season, posting a 4.82 ERA in three appearances. His best performance came in a 5-2 win over Harwich, when he let up no hits and struck out two batters in two innings.

Patrick Reilly will start for the Firebirds. He's only appeared in one game this season, allowing four runs in three innings against Cotuit. Reilly pitched in 10 innings for Orleans last season, striking out 10 batters.

Chatham Players to Watch

Matt Hogan (South Carolina) leads Chatham with a .308 batting average. Hogan had a single in Sunday's contest against Harwich, reaching third base ' the furthest any Chatham baserunner got in the game. Still, he's only had 26 at-bats, starting in some games while coming in as a pinch hitter in others.

Jake DeLeo (Georgia Tech) notched a solo homer in last Saturday's 1-1 tie against Harwich, a two-run homer in Friday's loss to Bourne and a grand slam earlier in the year against Brewster. He leads the team with eight RBIs this season. DeLeo is also third on the team with a .267 batting average.

Orleans Players to Watch

Cam Jones brought in the Firebirds only run last night, scorching a ground ball that deflected off of Carson Whisenhunt's (Eastern Carolina) glove and allowed Logan Beard to charge home. The hit was Jones' first of the season. He's also pitched for the Firebirds, striking out eight batters with a 3.00 ERA in five games.

Beard is also someone to look out for as he was able to advance to third before Jones' RBI single with aggressive base running. Beard has four hits in six appearances, including two doubles.

Chatham has four runs on 19 hits in its last six games. It has been shut out four times this season as well. The answer to the Anglers ending their losing streak is simple, manager Tom Holliday said, get on base.

Last Time They Played

After failing to notch a hit on June 29 against Orleans, the Anglers were unable to completely turn the tide in Sunday's rematch. Hogan gave them their biggest change to tie the game with an infield single in the top of the sixth.

Hogan advanced to third base and ran down the third base line as Guy Garibay Jr. (Rice) squared to bunt, but he sent the pitch foul. On a 1-1 pitch, Garibay Jr. missed the bunt and Garrett Guillemette threw to third and picked Hogan off.

Still, Chatham had strong appearances on the mound from Whisenhunt and later Tommy Molsky (Penn State), who came in to relieve Alex McFarlane (Miami). With the bases loaded, Molsky struck out three batters to avoid the dilemma.
