Eleven former Chatham players were picked in last year's MLB Draft, with four coming from the 2021 roster. With the opening round of the 2022 MLB Draft set to start at 7 p.m. Sunday, here's a look at which Anglers could be selected:

Kevin Parada '21 (Georgia Tech)

Parada is projected to go in the top 10, which should be the highest pick of any former Angler in this draft. The catcher out of Georgia Tech was one of three finalists for the Golden Spikes Award. He belted 26 home runs and hit .318 in his sophomore season with the Yellow Jackets. Over nine games with Chatham in 2021, Parada hit .250 and recorded more walks than strikeouts.

Carson Whisenhunt '22 (East Carolina)

Whisenhunt did not pitch with East Carolina this spring after failing a drug test, but the left-hander is still one of the top arms in the draft and could go late in the first round or early in the second round. Whisenhunt features a devastating change-up as part of his repertoire. In four starts with the Anglers, he logged a 7.87 ERA and 21 strikeouts over 16 innings.

Brandon Sproat '21 (Florida)

Sproat could be drafted early in the third round. He recorded a 3.41 ERA over 89.2 innings with Florida this spring. The right-hander made one appearance with Chatham and allowed four runs ' three earned ' in two innings.

Jacob Watters '21/'22 (W. Virginia)

Watters, a right-handed pitcher, made three appearances with Chatham in 2021 and two in 2022, striking out 20 batters over 12 innings across the two seasons. Prospects Live ranks him as the 91st-best prospect in the draft.

Zach Maxwell '21 (Georgia Tech)

Maxwell is another former Chatham pitcher who could go in the third round. The 6-foot-6 right-hander struck out 84 batters but walked 41 in 51.1 innings with Georgia Tech this spring. Maxwell appeared in 10 games with the Anglers in 2021 and logged a 6.17 ERA.

Alex McFarlane '21/'22 (Miami)

McFarlane has pitched with the Anglers the past two summers. The right-handed pitcher could go in the fifth round after posting a 4.00 ERA with Miami in the spring. In five appearances with Chatham this summer, McFarlane has allowed one run in 12.2 innings.

Trevor Martin '21/'22 (Oklahoma State)

Martin, a right-handed pitcher, spent two seasons with Chatham and could hear his name called on the second day of the draft. Martin pitched to a 2.79 ERA in eight games last summer. His best performance this summer came on July 4, when he blanked Orleans over three innings.

Nolan McLean '21 (Oklahoma State)

A two-way player, McLean pitched 25.1 innings and hit .285 with Oklahoma State this spring. McLean logged two home runs, six RBIs and nine runs in eight games with Chatham last summer. Prospects Live ranks him as the 221st-best prospect in the draft.

Magnus Ellerts '22 (Florida SouthWestern State)

Ellerts was effective in his time in Chatham this summer, posting a 2.84 ERA and 21 strikeouts over 12.2 innings. The right-hander showed similar dominance with Florida SouthWestern, striking out 101 batters in 69 innings this year. Ellerts could go late on day two of the draft.

Noah Ledford '22 (Georgia Southern)

Ledford paced Georgia Southern with 17 home runs, 70 RBIs and a .665 slugging percentage this spring. With Chatham, Ledford struck two home runs over 21 games. Prospects Live ranks the switch-hitter as the 247th-best prospect in the draft.

Sebastian Keane '21 (Northeastern)

Keane recorded a 3.85 ERA over 21 innings with Chatham last summer before going back to Northeastern. The right-hander was drafted in the 11th round of the 2019 MLB Draft by the Red Sox. He could go on day two this year.

Miguel Fulgencio '22 (Cowley County CC)

Fulgencio was nothing short of spectacular at Cowley County Community College, pitching to a 2.73 ERA his freshman year and a 1.83 ERA his sophomore year. The left-hander totaled one inning over two appearances with Chatham this summer and could go late on day two of the draft.

Danny Serretti '21 (North Carolina)

Serretti hit .365 with 10 home runs and started 64 games at shortstop for North Carolina this spring. The switch-hitter batted .282 in 85 at-bats with Chatham last summer. Prospects Live ranks Serretti as the 310th-best prospect in the draft.

Bryce Osmond '21 (Oklahoma State)

Osmond could be drafted late on day two or early on day three. The right-handed pitcher made four starts and six appearances with the Anglers in 2021 and logged a 4.21 ERA. He tallied 77 strikeouts with Oklahoma State in the spring, third-most on the team.

Victor Mederos '21 (Oklahoma State)

Mederos made seven appearances with Chatham. He recorded his best outing against Falmouth, firing six shutout innings with seven strikeouts. Mederos is another former Angler that could be drafted either late on day two or early on day three.

Josh Rivera '21 (Florida)

Rivera brought in seven runs with the Anglers last year, notching 29 hits. He is expected to go late on day two or early on day three in the draft. Rivera smacked nine home runs with the Gators this year.

Chris Villaman '22 (NC State)

Villaman is another Angler who could go late on day two in the draft or early in day three after serving as North Carolina State's primarily closer for the past two seasons. He started three games for the Anglers before leaving in preparation for the draft, recording a 2.93 ERA. Villaman began his high school career on junior varsity, something he said helped his maturation as a pitcher.

Mitchell Daly '22 (Texas)

Daly arrived late in Chatham this season and has made 11 appearances so far. He finished with a .237 batting average with the Longhorns in 2022, bringing in 37 runs. The rising junior is expected to go early on the final day of the draft.

Maxwell Romero Jr. '21 (Miami)

Romero Jr. recorded a .528 slugging percentage with the Hurricanes in 2022, and he could get picked up on the third day of the draft. His best performance last year with the Anglers came in a 12-3 win over Cotuit when he launched three home runs. 'Romero had one of the best performances I've ever seen in a baseball game,' Matt Hogan said.

Cy Nielson '21/'22 (BYU)

Nielson returned to the Anglers after posting a 6.46 ERA in eight games last year. He could get his name called in between rounds 14 and 15 in the draft after finishing his 2022 season in Chatham with a 1.97 ERA in 13.2 innings. Nielson pitched in 33.2 innings this past season at BYU, posting a 3.21 ERA.

Adam Tulloch '21 (Arizona State)

Tulloch pitched in 29 innings for Chatham last season, striking out 43 batters while allowing 13 earned runs. He pitched in four games for Bourne this season and recorded a 5.40 ERA. Tulloch is expected to go in the 15th or 16th round.

Dylan Carmouche '21 (Tulane)

Carmouche could go in the middle of the third day of the draft, according to Prospects Live. He was 1-2 with the Anglers last season, appearing in five games. The left-hander struck out 22 batters in 16.2 innings last summer.

Caeden Trenkle '21 (Oklahoma State)

Trenkle played in 30 games for Chatham last season, notching 18 hits. He brought in 10 runs before recording 41 RBIs with the Cowboys this spring. Trenkle is the 545th-best prospect, according to Prospects Live.

Chase Hampton '21 (Texas Tech)

Hampton sits right below Trenkle in Prospects Live's draft rankings. He finished with a 4.91 ERA in 11 innings last year with Chatham. Hampton struck out 72 batters this season at Texas Tech.

Jake DeLeo '21/'22 (Georgia Tech)

DeLeo is expected to go late on the third day of the draft. His four home runs have him tied for the team lead this summer. He said he developed his hitting through 'old school' methods like smacking an old 18-wheeler tire with weighted gloves.

Mat Peters '22 (Ivy Tech)

Peters had one of the strongest arms on Chatham's roster this season, able to sling the ball over 100 mph. The right-hander pitched two innings with the Anglers in 2022. Peters is currently committed to Miami University after spending the last year at Ivy Tech Community College. He could go late on day three in the draft.

Hayden Travinski '22 (LSU)

Travinski arrived midway through the season for the Anglers, and he could hear his name called late on the final day of the draft. Travinski smacked a home run in a 5-5 tie against Wareham and has totaled three RBIs so far this season.

Cade Winquest '21 (UT Arlington)

Winquest pitched 19.1 innings for the Anglers last season, finishing with a 2.79 ERA. Winquest recorded a 5.40 ERA at Texas-Arlington this year and could go in one of the last rounds of the draft.

Joe Miller '22 (Penn)

Miller was University of Pennsylvania's go-to pitcher throughout 2022, leading all Ivy League players with 74.1 innings pitched. Holliday said Miller can 'spin it,' and he notched 17 strikeouts in 14.1 innings with the Anglers. He could go late on the final day of the draft.

Dominic Tamez '21/'22 (Alabama)

Tamez had seven hits and three RBIs in 17 games with the Anglers this year. He found success offensively with the Crimson Tide in the spring, hitting .289 and posting a .341 on-base percentage.
