Game 37 Preview: Chatham at Orleans

Coming off the All-Star break and with eight games left in the regular season, Chatham (11-18-7) and Orleans (13-19-4) will play the last of their regular-season matchups with each other at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Eldredge Park.

Probable Pitchers

Roman Kimball (Notre Dame) is expected to start for the Anglers. Through just two starts and three appearances, Kimball has emerged as one of Chatham's go-to arms. The right-hander has allowed three hits and struck out 19 batters over 12 scoreless innings.

'He's got electric stuff,' former pitching coach Jay Powell said. 'He's a back-end-of-the-bullpen, major league-quality guy ' he really is. He's got a really high spin rate fastball that really jumps.'

Patrick Reilly will get the ball for Orleans coming off his best start of the season. The right-hander out of Vanderbilt allowed one run on one hit and two walks over five innings his last time on the mound, lowering his ERA to 4.86. Reilly surrendered three runs over 4.2 innings in the Firebirds' 7-1 loss to Chatham on July 4.

Luke Keaschall leads the Firebirds in hits and RBIs. He's batting .269 on the season despite logging just one hit in his past 14 at-bats. Keaschall went 1 for 3 with a walk, stolen base and a run in the All-Star Game.

Chatham beat Orleans 6-3 on Thursday at Veterans Field. In the bottom of the third, Garibay lifted a two-run home run to right field for the Anglers' first runs against Donye Evans this season.
