Chatham’s evening contest on June 30 versus Harwich has been canceled due to expected rain in the Chatham area. The game is scheduled to be made up on Thursday, July 11, at Veterans Field. It’s the Anglers’ first rescheduled game of the 2024 season.
Following the A’s 10-3 loss at Bourne Saturday, they now have two consecutive off-days before their next contest Tuesday against Brewster. Chatham players will participate in the annual Cape Cod Baseball League Fenway Park Workout Monday. The team is set to arrive for their portion of the workout at 7:45 a.m.
The makeup date of July 11 means the Anglers will have a two-game homestand from July 10-11, beginning with a matchup versus Yarmouth-Dennis. Chatham’s schedule now contains a span of six straight days with a game from July 9-14.
Last season, nine of the Anglers’ games were postponed to a later date. Three of which came against Harwich. Weather previously impacted Chatham in its 5-2 win over Hyannis on June 26, as the game was called in the fifth inning due to fog at Veterans Field.
