The final quarter of the CCBL season has arrived. Prior to a league-wide off day, Chatham avoided falling back to .500 with a 7-3 win over Brewster. The Anglers lost their previous two games to Cotuit and Hyannis by a combined score of 17-5, but bounced back by defeating the Whitecaps.
The victory put the Anglers in prime position to seal their first playoff berth since 2019. Chatham currently sit 3.5 games ahead of Brewster for second place in the East Division and six games ahead of Harwich for a playoff spot.
The A’s will look to win their second straight game when they take on Falmouth at Veterans Field Tuesday. Chatham has won two out of three games this season against the Commodores, who currently sit at the bottom of the West Division.

Larson may have produced the most hits, but Will Bermudez (UC Irvine) got on base just as many times. Bermudez was hit by Brewster pitchers on three separate occasions. Though he didn't record a hit, Bermudez scored each time he got on base. In four games with Chatham, Bermudez has registered a .412 on-base percentage and driven in four runs.
