Chatham’s 2025 schedule released, home opener set for June 14
Chatham’s schedule for the 2025 Cape Cod Baseball League season has been revealed. The Anglers open their first season under manager Dennis Cook at Veterans Field on June 14 against Falmouth. They then go on the road from June 15-16 to face Bourne and Wareham, respectively, before Hyannis comes to Veterans Field on June 17. Chatham’s first scheduled off day is on June 18.

This is the second season of the CCBL’s 40-game schedule, split by 20 home and away games each. The Anglers will play five contests against East Division foes, only traveling to Orleans and Brewster twice while hosting Harwich and Yarmouth-Dennis just twice.

Chatham’s first meeting with defending CCBL champion Harwich is slated for June 24 under the lights at Veterans Field. The Anglers and Mariners split the 2024 season series 3-3, which included a thrilling seven-run comeback win by Chatham on July 7 and Harwich defeating the A’s to open the CCBL Playoffs.

For this season’s Fourth of July contest, the Anglers make the short trip to face Orleans. Chatham won last year’s Independence Day battle against the Firebirds 4-1, one of its four victories over Orleans in 2024.

The 2025 CCBL All-Star break is scheduled for July 19-20, with the League’s All-Star Game taking place on Saturday, July 19 at Yarmouth-Dennis. The Anglers have 12 games after the All-Star break to finish the regular season, beginning with a road matchup at Cotuit on June 21 and ending the year at home versus Harwich on Aug. 3.

After a league-wide off day on Aug. 4, the CCBL Playoffs commence on Aug. 5 and last through Aug. 13. The playoff format has changed slightly since last season, as instead of a single-game wild card round, there will be three rounds of best-of-three series. Chatham made the postseason in 2024, its first appearance since 2019, but lost 7-5 to Harwich in the East Division wild card round.
