CHATHAM ANGLERS IN THE DUGOUT 2023
TOM HOLLIDAY MANAGER
Tom Holliday returns for his fifth season as the Anglers skipper. In two of his four previous seasons Tom led the Anglers once to the Cape League finals,
and once to an Eastern Division title. Holliday played ball at Yavapai College and the University of Miami before beginning his distinguished coaching
career as an Arizona State assistant. Tom then moved to Oklahoma State (OSU) where he spent 26 years (19 as an assistant, 7 as head coach). During
Holliday’s OSU tenure they made 8 College World Series (CWS) appearances, finishing 2nd three times. After OSU Holliday moved to the University of
Texas (UT) as their pitching coach, helping lead UT to two CWS appearances, including winning the 2005 title. Holliday then spent eight seasons, with
one CWS appearance, as a North Carolina State assistant, before closing his college coaching career as an assistant at Auburn for one season. Tom and
wife Kathy have two sons, Josh, the OSU head coach, and Matt, who had an illustrious MLB career that included 7 All-Star appearances and a 2011 World
Series Championship
MIKE HENNEMAN PITCHING COACH
With 10 major league seasons under his belt, Henneman brings plenty of experience to Chatham. Mike played with the Astros, Rangers, and Tigers from
1987 to 1996, recording 193 saves. He was the 1987 Sporting News rookie pitcher of the year and Mike was a 1989 American League All-Star. Mike’s 154
saves with Detroit are second on their all-time save list. After his playing career concluded Mike rejoined the Tiger organization for three years, serving
as a minor league pitching coach. Mike has familiarity with the Cape League, playing for the Wareham Gatemen in 1983.
MARTY LEES THIRD BASE AND DEFENSIVE COACH
Lees has nearly two decades of college coaching experience, beginning at Oregon State where he was an assistant coach from 2002-2012, serving the
last four years as the Beavers’ associate head coach. Lees then moved to Oklahoma State where he had two assistant coaching stints (2013-15 and
2019-21). Those two stints were sandwiched around his tenure as head coach at Washington State from 2015 to 2019.
TODD SHELTON CATCHING AND HITTING COACH
Todd was a catcher at Oklahoma State (OSU), ending his career there in the 1990 College World Series championship game. Todd spent one year in the
Cleveland Indians minor league system before beginning his coaching career as an OSU volunteer assistant. After OSU Todd had multiple coaching stops
including Cumberland University, Northeast Texas CC, Eastern Oklahoma State College, and Oral Roberts University. Since 2007 Todd has been the head
coach at Panola Junior College.
BROCK RILEY ASSISTANT PITCHING COACH AND CLINIC COACH
Riley pitched for the Anglers on the 2018 team that reached the Cape League finals. After graduating from Salem State, Brock went on to pitch
professionally in the Frontier League (2019 and 2022), All-American Baseball Challenge (2020) and Pioneer League (2021). Brock is excited to join the
Anglers staff, rejoining head coach Holliday to begin experiencing baseball from the coaching, rather than playing, side.
DUSTIN WILLIAMS ASSISTANT HITTING COACH AND CLINIC COACH
Williams played four years at Oklahoma State (2014-17) and earned honorable mention All-Big 12 honors in both 2015 and 2016 as the Cowboys
everyday first baseman. After a brief stay in minor league baseball Dustin began his coaching career at Texas A&M, Corpus Christi, before becoming a
volunteer assistant at Missouri State in 2022.
JULIA HOLLAND ATHLETIC TRAINER
Julia received her B.S. degree in Athletic Training from Sacred Heart University and her M.S. degree in Athletic Training from Springfield College. Julia
is a certified personal trainer and sports nutrition coach. She is currently the Head Athletic Trainer at The Fessenden School in Newton, MA. Julia enjoys
many outdoor activities including beach volleyball, lifting, and golf.
