2023 PLAYERS CHATHAM ANGLERS





                             ERIC HAMMOND | RHP | USC
                             REDSHIRT FRESHMAN | 6-FOOT-4 | 185 LBS

                             After using a redshirt year in 2022, Hammond has been a weekend starter for USC this season. Through April, Eric has logged
                             11 appearances, recording a 2-3 record with a 5.30 ERA. Hammond committed to USC as the No. 1 right-handed pitcher in the
                             state of Texas according to Perfect Game.




                             LUKE HEEFNER | INF | DALLAS BAPTIST

                             SOPHOMORE | 6-FOOT-0 | 185 LBS
                             Heefner has been a middle infield starter for his two seasons at DBU.  Through April this year Luke was  batting .252 while
                             fielding at a .961 rate. Last season, Luke’s .294 average earned him Freshman All American and Freshman of the Year in the
                             Missouri Valley Conference honors.  Heefner played in the Coastal Plain League last summer.




                             GRIFFEN HERRING | LHP, LSU

                             FRESHMAN | 6-FOOT-2 | 195 LBS

                             Through April Herring has appeared out of the bullpen in 11 contests garnering a 2-1 record with a 4.19 earned run average.
                             The Southlake, Texas, native compiled a 13-1 record and 0.24 ERA with Southlake Carroll High School his senior season helping
                             lead the Dragons to a state championship last year.






                             JACKSON JAHA | INF/RHP | OREGON
                             FRESHMAN | 6-FOOT-1 | 220 LBS
                             Through April, Jaha showed his versatility by hitting at a .286 clip while also appearing twice out of the bullpen. Jaha was a
                             15th round selection in the 2022 MLB Draft by the New York Mets. The infielder was the only Oregon high school player taken
                             in the MLB Draft last year.




                             KAEDEN KENT | TEXAS A&M

                             FRESHMAN | 6-FOOT-2 | 200 LBS.
                             Kent has made an immediate impact for Texas A&M. Through April the Austin, Texas, native has played in 27 games compiling
                             a .268 average at the plate while driving in 21 runs. Kaeden’s father, Jeff, played 19 years in Major League Baseball, finishing
                             as a five-time all-star and the NL MVP in 2000.




                             CHRIS MALDONADO – INF, VANDERBILT
                             FRESHMAN, 6-FOOT-1, 190 LBS.

                             Maldonado joined his older brother, Nick, at Vanderbilt this season. The Short Hills, New Jersey, native committed to the
                             Commodores as the ninth best prospect in the entire state according to Perfect Game. Through April, covering 32 games,
                             Maldonado averaged .327 at the plate, compiling 25 RBI’s while generating 16 extra-base hits in 110 at-bats.
