JOSH SCHAEFER BROADCASTER - ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY
Josh Schaefer is a native of West Hills, California. Schaefer is a sports journalism student at Arizona State’s Walter Cronkite School of
Journalism and Mass Communication. He was ranked as the nation’s 19th best collegiate broadcaster in 2018 by the Sportscasters
Talent Agency of America and was the only sophomore ranked in the top-20. He has served as a broadcaster for the Sun Devil
baseball, hockey and softball programs on the Pac-12 Digital Networks for the past two years. As a junior in 2019, he broadcasted the
first NCAA Tournament game in Sun Devil Hockey history. He returns to Chatham this season after hosting the Manager’s Show and
broadcasting all 50 regular season and postseason games for the Anglers in 2018.
COOPER BOARDMAN BROADCASTER - SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY
BIO: Cooper Boardman, a Westport, Connecticut native, is a broadcast journalism student at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public
Communications at Syracuse University. He was ranked as the 18th best collegiate broadcaster in the nation in 2018 by the
Sportscasters Talent Agency of America and was the only freshman on the list. He currently serves as sports director for WJPZ-FM and
is on the sports staff for WAER-FM, SU’s student radio stations, and as a host for Citrus TV, the university’s student television station.
Boardman also works as an intern for the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League. He returns to Chatham in 2019 after
hosting Catch of the Day and broadcasting all 50 regular season and postseason games last summer.
K.J. EDELMAN BEAT REPORTER/ SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST - SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY
BIO: K.J. Edelman is from Reading, Pennsylvania. He studies at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications
and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in newspaper and online journalism. He’s also working toward a minor in sports management
as SU’s David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics. Beginning in the fall, Edelman will be the sports editor at The Daily
Orange, the independent student news organization in Syracuse. At The Daily Orange, he’s served as an assistant sports editor,
assistant copy editor and sports reporter, covering college football and Syracuse Orange ice hockey, cross country, and women’s
soccer and tennis.
ANTHONY DABBUNDO BEAT REPORTER/ SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST - SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY
BIO: Anthony Dabbundo, a Phoenixville, Pennsylvania native, is a dual major at Syracuse University, studying broadcast and digital
journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and policy studies at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public
Affairs. He’s also pursuing a minor in data analytics at SU’s School of Information Studies. He’s covered Syracuse softball, field hockey,
tennis and volleyball as a reporter at The Daily Orange, Syracuse’s independent student newspaper. He’ll begin a term as the paper’s
assistant sports editor in the fall. Additionally, he serves as a news correspondent and political analyst at Citrus TV, SU’s student-run
television station.
KARLI MATTHIAS PHOTOGRAPHER - ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY
BIO: Karli Matthias is a native of Temecula, California, but grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is a rising senior at the Walter Cronkite
School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Arizona State and majors in Sports Journalism. At ASU, she is the president of
the Walter Cronkite Sports Network, a student-run organization that covers all of Sun Devils athletics. Matthias covers ASU baseball,
football and gymnastics as a multimedia reporter, serving primarily as a videographer and photographer. In addition, Matthias is a
broadcaster for Pac-12 Digital’s coverage of ASU gymnastics, and a baseball and gymnastics analyst on WCSN’s flagship studio show,
Cronkite Sports Live.
MICHAELA MCMILLAN VIDEOGRAPHER - MASS. COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN
BIO: Michaela McMillan is from Dedham, MA. She studies at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She is headed into her
senior year pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Media Production with a minor in Journalism. In the past, Michaela has contributed to
media outlets in her hometown as a sports editor and produced sports content for the nearby Westwood (MA) public television.
Since January 2019, she has served as a video production assistant for Harvard University Athletics shooting live content for NESN
and ESPN+.
