JEREMY “SHEETS” SHEETINGER MANAGER
Jeremy enters his first summer in Chatham bringing plenty of experience to the Anglers. In 2013, Sheets received his first head coaching job, taking over
Spalding University, an NCAA Division III program where he led the Eagles to three straight postseasons. He then served as an associate scout for the
Atlanta Braves from 2015-19 before taking over at Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC). In four seasons at GGC, he holds a 170-36 record, appearing in three
NAIA World Series’ and winning the championship in 2021.
ERIC BEATTIE PITCHING COACH
A former collegiate and minor league pitcher, Eric brings a wealth of pitching knowledge to Chatham. Beattie pitched at the University of Tampa, ranking
in their top 10 all-time in innings pitched, strikeouts and wins. Eric played for the Bourne Braves in the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) leading the
league in ERA, an accomplishment that led to his 2014 induction into the CCBL Hall of Fame. Beattie currently is the head coach at Strawberry Crest High
School in Dover, Florida and in 2022-3 he also served as the manager of the CCBL’s Hyannis Harbor Hawks.
RAMON OROZCO THIRD BASE | FIELD SUPERVISOR
Ramon spent nearly a decade at the University of San Diego (USD), beginning in 2007 before being promoted to an assistant coach in 2010. He helped
USD to five NCAA Regional appearances, including two regional finals. Orozco’s responsibilities there focused on the team’s offense, infielders/catchers,
scouting reports, and recruiting. Ramon is currently an assistant coach at Eastlake High School in Chula Vista, CA.
DREW GUFFEY FIRST BASE COACH | ASSISTANT FIELD SUPERVISOR
Drew was a student manager for the University of Alabama for three years where he worked in many different capacities. In 2022, he was hired as the
director of player personnel at Stetson University in Florida, where he spent nearly two years before moving to his current position earlier this year,
serving as a hitting instructor for Out Front Hitting in Birmingham, Alabama.
JAY VINCENT CHATHAM CLINICS COORDINATOR
Jay played his college ball at The University of Pikeville before starting his coaching career in 2019 as a graduate assistant at Lindsey Wilson College. Jay
became an assistant coach in 2021, and then served as the interim head coach in 2022, leading the Blue Raiders to an NAIA tournament bid. Vincent
continues to serve as an assistant coach at Lindsey Wilson.
COLLIN WILBER BULLPEN COACH
Collin’s collegiate career at Christopher Newport University led him into coaching, first as an assistant at Concordia University (2018) before becoming
the Director of Player Development at Inspiration Academy. From there, Collin became a development coach with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2021. In
September 2023, Wilber moved to his current position, assistant coach at Sacramento City College.
JULIA HOLLAND ATHLETIC TRAINER
Julia received her B.S. degree in Athletic Training from Sacred Heart University and her M.S. degree in Athletic Training from Springfield College. Julia
is a certified personal trainer and sports nutrition coach. She is currently the Head Athletic Trainer at The Fessenden School in Newton, MA. Julia enjoys
many outdoor activities including beach volleyball, lifting, and golf.
2024 CHATHAM ROTARY CLUB
The Chatham Rotary Club will once again provide a significant donation to the Chatham Athletic
Association. The donation will occur in a ceremony prior to the June 26th game against Hyannis, which
is ‘Chatham Rotary Club Night’. The Rotary Club donation is earmarked to support our Chatham Anglers
Youth Baseball Clinic Program.
Virginia Kangas, pictured here, a long-term member of the Chatham Rotary as well
as a long-term Chatham Athletic Association Board member, was instrumental
in setting up this annual donation. In her honor the Chatham Rotary has
named this donation the “Virginia Kangas Memorial Clinic Scholarship”. We are
very appreciative of the Chatham Rotary Club for their many years of support
encouraging youth sports participation in Chatham.
