CHATHAM ANGLERS PITCHERS 2019
COLE AYERS - KENTUCKY
(RHP) B-T – R-R / 6’2 – 205 LBS.
After an illustrious high school career in Ohio, Cole Ayers made more than 20 appearances in his freshman season for Kentucky in
2019. The right-hander was drafted by the Astros in the 36th round of the MLB Draft and was a top 100 player at his position in
the country entering college. He was used as reliever by Kentucky where he averaged close to a strikeout per inning. Ayers joins
the Anglers with a pretty significant baseball background: his father Mike played in the Pirates organization, and his uncle Nick
played in the NFL.
LUKE BARTNICKI - GEORGIA TECH
(LHP) B-T – L-L / 6’4 – 220 LBS.
Luke Bartnicki follows his Georgia Tech teammate Tristin English (2018) to Chatham. The two created one of most dynamic relief
duos for the highly ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He appeared in over 20 games for the Yellow Jackets, all in relief. Bartnicki
is a Georgia native. The left-hander was a 29th round pick of the Diamondbacks in last year’s (2018) MLB Draft. Bartnicki was the
top-ranked pitcher in the state out of high school (topping 95 miles per hour), where he led Walton High School to a state title.
BURL “AUSLEY” CARRAWAY - DALLAS BAPTIST
(LHP), B-T – L-L / 6’1 – 180 LBS.

summer. The left-hander struck out close to two batters per inning in more than 20 appearances and 30 innings of work for the
Patriots this spring. He held opposing hitters to less than a .200 average.

Royals (2018). With the Sun Devils, the right-hander worked primarily as a starter. Following a mid-season injury he was moved
